The Lamb of God

Would you like to learn the Lamb of God in Latin? Of all the prayers of the Mass in Latin, the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) is one of the simplest. It amounts to only a handful of words which correspond almost perfectly in order and grammar to their English equivalent.

Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, who take away the sins of the world, grant us peace.

Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
