The Lamb of God

Of all the prayers of the Mass in Latin, the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) is one of the simplest. It amounts to only a handful of words which correspond almost perfectly in order and grammar to their English equivalent.

Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
